New look Quality Improvement Team
The new look team held their first meeting on Thursday 4 July 2018 at the Main Hospital Library from 10:30 to 11:30 am. The team congratulated the outgoing Focal Person Matron Muzarurwi on her promotion to Night Superintendent.
The team welcomes the incoming Focal Person Matron Gumunyu and her deputy Sister-In-Charge Ncube Leave-it. Sister N.F Ncube joined the team and Mr B. Fambira who came in as the Chief Photographer for the team
The team reminded each other of the vision which is UBH (Centre of Excellence in Quality.) The team further deliberated on its immediate plans which included: (a) conducting refresher courses on 5s- Kazen- Total Quality Management for its members (b) cascade training to other cadres (c) to conduct internal fund raising activities (d to conduct a situational analysis to assess the current situation in terms of quality improvement across the whole hospital (quality rounds which include photography)(e) the team agreed to conduct weekly 30 to 45 minutes refresher course for its members and to come up with a training schedule for the members of staff.
The chairperson then proceeded to give a 10 minute refresher to team members on the 5s -Kazen-TQM concept.
The meeting was closed at 11:30 am. The next meeting was scheduled for 12 July 2018.
