Tender Procedures

United Bulawayo Hospitals requires suppliers to provide the following documents before doing business:

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Valid Tax Certificate
  • Vendor Number
  • Company Profile

A tender or request for tender is a structured invitation for vendors to supply goods and services:

  • Competitive tender: goods valued at $10,000 and below
  • Informal tender: goods valued at $50,000 and below

The hospital may contact suppliers via phone, fax, or email. Suppliers will drop their quotations in the tender box and be informed after a purchase requisition is completed. Payment is made after the committee verifies the goods, provided funds are available.

For informal tenders, suppliers may need to purchase tender documents and submit quotations by a specified date. The Procurement Committee will open the tender box, process the schedule, and adjudicate. A purchase order/requisition is issued once approved.
