The Human Resources Department at United Bulawayo Hospitals is responsible for recruitment and management of staff. It oversees salaries, staff records, rewards, motivation, evaluation, and professional development.

Recruitment of Staff

The department recruits staff across various categories:

  • Professional Medical Staff: Doctors, Nurses, Laboratory Scientists, etc.
  • Professional Non-Medical Staff: Accountants, Human Resources Officers, Administrative Officers, Executive Assistants, etc.
  • Non-Professional Staff: General Hands, Nurse Aids, etc.

Recruitment Procedures

  • Medical Staff: Must be registered with their respective health profession councils (e.g., Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe).
  • Non-Medical Staff: Apply through the Health Services Commission (HSC).
  • Non-Professional Staff: Must be registered with the Ministry of Labour and Social Amenities.
