The Health Information Department is responsible for the accurate documentation and management of all medical activities conducted by clinicians at the hospital. The department ensures that all healthcare services provided to patients are fully, accurately, and timeously recorded in accordance with established standards.

The department maintains a systematic filing and records management system to ensure the safe storage, easy retrieval, and confidentiality of patient information. Records are maintained for admitted, discharged, and deceased patients to support continuity of care, clinical audits, and administrative processes.

Patient medical records are treated with strict confidentiality and are only released under authorised circumstances. Records may be issued upon formal request by courts or law enforcement agencies, or for further clinical verification and review by attending medical practitioners.
